We encourage you to try one of the practices this week and share about it next time.
Choose your level: mild, medium, or hot - depending on what you’re open to.
Read through them and share with the group what you will do this week.
Mild: Daily Prayer of Openness
- Pray each morning - "Come Holy Spirit" and then be aware that the Spirit is with you throughout the day.
Medium: Spot the Spirit in the Word
- Read quickly through the book of Luke and circle or make note everytime Holy Spirit is mentioned. Begin to pay attention to what Holy Spirit is doing in and through people. This helps you learn to pay attention to the Spirit in God's Word and begin to notice the Spirit in the World.
Hot: Life and Restoration Prayer
- Take 15 minutes to write out a prayer to God about areas that feel dry, broken, chaotic, or in need of healing or restoration. Share honestly. Share how you feel about what you are writing about. Then ask Holy Spirit to share any verse, insight, encouragement, truth, or thought with you in response. Write down whatever you sense.
